Christmas NOTD #bigblogmasproject Christmas Eve

Rimmel Salon Pro 393 Desire | Barry M 321 Nail Effects

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!

I hope everyone's having an amazing Christmas Eve, it's the big day tomorrow! Exciting!

Right now, I'm watching Finding Nemo with my sister, trying to get through a million and one 1071 posts on Bloglovin and I just finished painting my nails. I always feel like Christmas Eve is a pamper/prep day, relaxing but can be quite hectic if you're preparing food for Christmas day.
Today's the last day of the #bigblogmasproject, I'm so glad I took part in this project, I tested myself, even though I missed a couple days, I'm still so proud of myself that I blogged nearly everyday having taken so much on this month. Thanks to everyone that read my posts and encouraged me to keep going with the project, truly appreciate it!

As I said, I just finished painting my nails so I thought I'd show you guys. I decided to go with a dark purple colour, I love dark colours on my nails all year round. I paired it with the Barry M cracked effect nail polish.
I love the gold with the dark purple, looks so festive!

The Rimmel nail polish dried so quickly, as I've always said I love a nail polish that dries quick and this one does. I'm glad it dried quick because I had to apply the nail effect after it dried and I'm so impatient.
I love my nails and I can't wait to try out my gold effect on different shades!

Lastly, because it's that festive time of the year, Photobox are giving you the chance to win a Canon Isux camera and premium photo canvas. All you have to do is sign up and the goodies don't stop there, if you sign up, you get 40 free standard prints! Isn't that great stuff, I'm definitely getting my free photo prints!
Just enter here*, I have!

What do you guys think of my Christmas nails? You like?
What are you wearing on your nails this Christmas?

Thanks for reading and enjoy your evening my lovelies!

Gifts #bigblogmasproject Day 23

 Hey guys!

Today's post is about gifts.

Every year everybody goes crazy making sure they've bought a gift for everyone in the family, whether it's a small or big gift. It's always nice to present a gift to loved ones, the look on their faces when they open a gift is priceless.
I'm definitely a giver, I love giving and helping, it's a natural thing for me to be generous, especially at Christmas time. This year I definitely went over the top with buying gifts, I just couldn't help myself!

My mum said something to me and my siblings this year that made really think, 'why do we need to give gifts? Can't we just do nice things for each other that day?' So she came up with the idea of writing nice things you can do for someone on a little piece and put it in a bowl and then on Christmas day, you pick one and then person that wrote it, will do that nice thing for you. I think it's such a nice idea, trust my mum to come up with something like that. Christmas isn't all about the gifts!

I'm so excited for Christmas and I can't wait to spend time with my family and I really, really can't wait for that Christmas dinner!

How are you spending your Christmas day, I'd love to know!
Thanks for reading guys!

My Christmas Tree #bigblogmasproject Day 22

Hey everyone,

Here's my Christmas tree!
I had to wait ages, I'm always the one screaming on the 1st December 'when are we putting up the Christmas tree?'
As they say 'many hands make light work' so having 5 siblings meant this tree was put up in a flash.
It's 6ft6 which is the perfect height for our living room, doesn't overpower or take up too much space.

We stuck to the decorations being silver, so different sized silver balls and tinsel. We also went with the multi coloured lights, I think it would've looked nicer with white lights!
There's not much to say, the pictures speak for themselves haha

Hope you guys like my tree! What colour schemes did you go with this year?
I'd love to know, give me a few ideas for next year!

Pre - Christmas Superdrug Haul #bigblogmasproject Day 21

Hey everyone,

Long time no blog, I've been really lazy with my blogging lately, I've been trying to focus on getting ready for Christmas and I've been working on my portfolio and sketchbook for uni interviews. I haven't been purposely ignoring my blog, it's just the last thing I do, however I always remember to take pictures especially for a haul!

Me and my sister took a trip to our local Superdrug (it's literally 5 mins away from home) and we decided to buy a few things for ourselves and each other (it's giving season!) I spent much more on my sister than I did on my self, there wasn't much I wanted and didn't want to buy a lot because I knew I'd be getting more beauty bits for Christmas.
I've wrapped my sister's items so they can't be included in the haul (obviously Jesslyn!)

First of all, I needed a new hand cream, during winter my hands are constantly dry even when I've just moisturised them, as soon as I step outside they look so dry. I thought I'd try out Superdrug's brand, they had many different ones but I opted for the 2 in 1 hand and nail cream, I've been loving it so far.
Also from the Superdrug brand, facial cleansing wipes. I know some people hate wipes but wipes are great to have. Great for travelling or just lazy days. I've used them before and I love them.

The next 2 items are from MUA, I love MUA and most of my make up collection is MUA. I really wanted to try something from the luxe range so I picked up the lip lacquer in Kooky. I can't wait to try it out and review it for you guys. Second is the Pro-Base fixing mist, I've been very hesitant to buy MUA's fixing mist because I wasn't sure if it would perform well, I read a couple reviews and most people seemed to like it so I went for it and bought it.

I had my eye on the NYC quad eye shadow palette in Best of Broadway for so long but I didn't want to get it because I had never tried any palettes or eye shadows from NYC so I wasn't sure if I should. But it's Christmas and I thought why not, it's only £3!

LA Colors is also a great make up brand that I love, they stock LA Colors in my local hair shop and I always pick up something from the counter. They also stock LA Colors in Beauty Base in Westfield Stratford.
I picked up a lip liner in a nude-y brown to wear under lip glosses and it was only 99p!

It's not from Superdrug but I bought this cardigan from Primark, it was on sale for £5 and I couldn't help myself. I think I went into Primark to look for a certain thing but they didn't have it so I bought this to make myself happier haha

That's yet again another haul for you all!
I can't stop shopping guys, I know you all love the hauls and I love shopping so everyone's happy!

Haha thanks for reading guys!

Christmas Gift Guide | For Mum & Dad #bigblogmasproject Day 17

Dad's Slippers John Lewis | Mum's Slipper John Lewis
Mum's Hand Mixer Debennhams | Dad's Tool Box Homebase
Mum and Dad's Spice Rack John Lewis

Hi guys,

Christmas is around the corner and if like me, you're still rushing around for presents and the presents list is dragging on the floor behind you, you're stressing out a bit and don't know what to buy the ones that are on top of your list. Here's a Christmas gift guide for your beloved parents.

When it comes to parents (well, mine) they never give you the slightest clue to what they'd want, they say 'you don't need to buy me anything' or 'spend the money on your siblings' which makes it so hard to buy them a gift when you really want to.

Slippers. Every year, someone in my family buys my parents slippers and they love it. Who doesn't love a new pair of comfy slippers? Pyjamas, dressing gowns, extra cosy socks are always great presents. There are so many different types of slippers out there, I'm sure you'll find a pair to suit any personality.

Next are the tools! Parents love tools, anything to make a job easier, they want. Any baker would love a hand mixer, speeds up the process and makes everything about baking easier, right? Mama would love that!
And I know dads have a million and one tool boxes already but bits and bobs always go missing! So why not buy him another one, he'd be more than happy to try and balance yet another one on the shed shelf.

Now, if you're really stuck or you've bought them separate gifts already, joint gifts are always nice.
My parents both love cooking and their spices. A spice rack is a great thing to have in the kitchen and for them to share. They'll also think it's quite fancy shmancy and they'll be happy that you went out and bought them something even when they insisted you don't!

That's my Christmas gift guide for mummy and daddy!
I hope it's helped you out a little bit if you were stuck on what to buy your parents, thanks for reading!

The Battle | Felt Tip Eyeliners #bigblogmasproject Day 16

Top MUA | Bottom W7

Hi guys,

Can you believe it? It's 9 days until Christmas, I've only done a quarter of my Christmas shopping, I need to get cracking, don't I?

Look what we have here, the battle of the felt tip eyeliners!
There was a time when I was on the hunt for the perfect felt tip eyeliner and on my bear hunt, I found MUA's Extreme Felt Eyeliner and W7's Waterproof Automatic Felt Eyeliner Pen! They were both under £3 which is great.

I purchased the W7 one a couple of months before the MUA, I'd been using it on a daily basis, I liked the quality at first but it seemed to be drying out quite quickly which was annoying. I then discovered on the side of the pen that you're supposed to store it with the tip down, Silly me! I started storing it with the tip downwards and I noticed that it was performing better but not as I'd like.
It isn't as black as I'd like and I think this is due to the dryness of it, it also isn't shiny and it looks quite dull.
I have to go over it at least 2-3 to make it as black as I'd want it.

A couple of months later, I purchased the MUA Extreme Felt Eyeliner, it was one of MUA's new products so I definitely wanted to test it out.
Again, I made the mistake of storing the eyeliner upwards and then when I discovered that it was drying out, I quickly remembered to start storing it downwards.
I didn't use it for a while just to let it do what it needed to and then I went to use it again 5 days and there was a huge difference.
It's shiny, it glides onto the skin like it's supposed to. It was definitely black, there was no sense of dryness whilst applying my winged liner. I'm so happy I purchased it, definitely great quality for £2!

I think you guys can definitely tell which is the winner.
MUA Extreme Felt Eyeliner!

I wouldn't recommend the W7 Felt Eyeliner Pen, I think it's a waste of money to be honest compared to the MUA Felt Eyeliner. A month and half it lasted before it started drying out which is not good! No es bueno!

The MUA one I'd definitely recommend, it's amazing quality for only £2 (I think w7 was £2.50) and if you don't make the mistake of storing it upwards, it'll last longer and perform better.

Have you tried either of them? What were your experiences, I'd love to know!
Thanks for reading and stay tuned

P.S. A huge congratualtions to Nicole who won my 100 follower giveaway! Thank you all for entering and even if you didn't win this one, stick around for more giveaways in the new year! xo

NOTD | Retro Pink #bigblogmasproject Day 15

Barry M Nail Paint - Retro Pink

Hello my friends!

Day 15 and uh huh, it's another NOTD! Since buying the Barry M goody bag at Clothes Show Live, I've been having so much fun testing out the colours. I did a NOTD post last week on the lilac colour I tried, have a look at the post and tell me which one's your favourite, I'd love to know!

Today's colour is pink!

I hardly ever paint my nails pink, I always think they look too girly for me. I'm not a huge pink fan but I really like this pink on my nails. It's a hot pink which is my favourite shade of pink alongside pastel pink.

I only applied one coat and it looks amazing, I'm surprised that they look that good with only one coat.
They dried quite quickly which makes me more than happy to use it again. I'm so impatient when it comes to sitting still and waiting for my nails to dry, I always smudge them, always!

Another thumbs up to Barry M, another amazing nail polish in my collection!
What are your favourites from Barry M? Let me know, I'd love to purchase some more for Christmas!
Thanks for reading!

Maybelline Pure-Liquid Mineral Foundation | First Impressions

Hello everyone!

I haven't done a beauty post in a while and I wanted to share with you guys a new foundation I purchased a a while ago.
I wanted to finish my current foundation (I still haven't, I couldn't resist) before starting a new one.
I bought it from a make up stall inside my local shopping centre that sell discounted make up.

I paid £4 for this foundation, I think they've stopped selling it in Boots and I haven't seen it in Superdrug but I know you can purchase it from Fragrance Direct.

I applied this foundation with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush, I put a pea-sized amount on the back of my hand and applied the first layer. Then, I let it sink into my sink for about 10mins and then I applied the second layer. It has great coverage, I don't like my foundations to be too heavy so this coverage is perfect.

I didn't use a moisturiser before or any powder after applying the foundation to see how my skin would react to it.

I kept on the foundation for the whole day, it was quite dry at the start of the day, I think this was due to not using a moisturiser but as the day progressed I could see the oilyness coming through, my oily skin never takes a break!
I've only used this foundation once and my first impressions are that it's a very light foundation because it's oil free and it blends very well.
It's definitely buildable and can be used if you have oily skin. I'd recommend you use a powder after applying if you have oily skin.
I'm going to do a full review when I start using this foundation regularly and let you guys know how I get on with it!

Let me know if you've tried this foundation and what your opinions are on it!
Thanks for reading guys

3 Days With FashionSquash #bigblogmasproject Day 11, 12 & 13

Hey everyone,

I'm going to start off by apologising for my unforeseen absence, I've been so busy this week that I haven't been able to blog, chill or even tweet!
I've had multiple college deadlines (another one on Monday too!) and I've just been trying to get all my work done as you know my education comes before blogging.
So due to the fact that I'm supposed to be blogging everyday for the #bigblogmasproject, I decided to put together a post that is 3 days in one, as I took pictures everyday and thought I share my 3 absent days with you all!

Onto the post...
Warning: It's a picture heavy one!

Day 1 - the 11th

So it was a normal Wednesday at college, a boring one that is. Until, my two little (literally haha!) friends invited me and my best friend out for lunch and we couldn't help but say yes.
They recommended we all go to a kebab place they'd been to before and it was amazing! I think I tweeted a picture that day!
It was called the 'Waterfall Kebab Centre' and it's 10mins or so away from our college. The plates they brought us were massive, we struggled to finish it, thanks to my fast metabolism and quick digestive system, we didn't waste too much!
We were so stuffed, we literally walked into college like pregnant women haha
That was basically the highlight of my day, definitely got my brain food, worked like a machine when I got back to college!
How I'm going to miss my college days :(

Day 2 - the 12th

It's Thursday and it's another day at college.
Getting ready on a Thursday morning is always a rush, even though I have an hour extra to get ready, I still manage to be rushing!
My wardrobe at the moment is a disgrace, there's clothes spilling out the bottom, clothes and belt being hung over the rail, it's just all a mess, I don't know how I find anything. I definitely want to get rid of my wardrobe and have an open closet/clothing rail!

It was going to be a day of finishing off the portfolio pages I'd started for my portfolio advice day at London College of Fashion. I spent my day drawing away, sticking things down and making sure there were a good selection of pages.
Me and bestie always take trips to toilet during long lessons so we took a couple pictures on the way back to class haha
Pretty boring day but it was about the all important work which I love doing!

Day 3 - the 13th

Finally Friday (TGIF!), usually it's my day of rest as I don't have college but no, London College of Fashion had their portfolio advice day so no rest for me!
I left my house nice and early as it's not a good look to be late to your, possibly, future uni so being on time was essential.
So after all the advice I got, I'm super confident and excited about getting my portfolio and sketchbooks finished, never been so motivated. I'm so pumped up for my interview on the 7th of February.

I met with the best friend (yep, I see her a lot haha) in Oxford Circus, don't you just love the Christmas decor? We had a little browse and decided to go home after an hour. On the way home, bestie thought she'd treat us to a bit of Burger King and I must say, it was one of the nicest looking ones I've been into, it looked like an American diner. Fancy Schmancy!

So that was my 3 days of fun!
It probably doesn't seem busy but for me, getting up everyday at 6 and not getting home until 12-13 hours later is busy to me, I'm lazy, I like being in my house haha!

I'm back with my blogging schedule so you should be seeing regular posts from moi and I'm going to try and keep up with blogging everyday for the #bigblogmasproject.

Hope you all enjoyed reading what I get up to and let me know if you'd like to see more posts like this, I'd be more than  happy to post more.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned lovelies!
