Glamour Magazine

Hey everyone!

I've been shopping like crazy however not one single piece of clothing has been bought.
Make up & accessories have been catching my eye this past week and I haven't been able to resist.
Primark have so many different types of sunglasses and I couldn't help myself and I got 2 same-shaped sunglasses but in different colours. I also purchased the Revlon ColorStay for Oily/Combination skin and I wanted to try it out!
The tea light and magazine were just random purchases!
I will be doing reviews on some of the make up products so keep a look out for that!

Have you bought anything recently, have you been obsessing over make up and accessories?

Thanks for reading and I hope you're well,

MUA Undressed Eye Shadow Palette Review

Hey everyone!

I was given this eye shadow palette for Christmas and was very happy because of my slight obsession with MUA products.
I didn't use it straight away as I wasn't a massive fan of eye shadow and needed a little bit of practice as well.

For the past couple of weeks I've been using this palette on a daily basis, for me, it lasts all day without a primer which I love because I don't like using primers as I feel that they're just another layer of product on my skin.

It's quite pigmented meaning I don't have to pack it on for me to be able to see it.
I use the applicator that comes with it to apply the eye shadow and then use my blending brush to blend it out.

I love the fact that there are neutral colours, base colours, highlighters and dark colours to create a smoky eye.
I would recommend this to anyone that likes a palette with lots of variety and you can't really go wrong with a palette that costs only £4.

Hope you're all well and let me know your views on any MUA eyeshadow palettes?

Liebster Award #1

Hey everybody,

I am proud to say that I was nominated for the Liebster Award which is an award for blogs that have less than 200 followers and is passed on from blogger to blogger. I was nominated by Emilie over at SomeoneInTheCorner http://www.someoneinthecorner.blogspot.co.uk/. Her blog is amazing and I am very grateful that she nominated me, make sure you guys head over and check out her blog!

Here are the 11 questions that Emilie gave me to answer!

Why did you start blogging?
I loved seeing other fashion/beauty/lifestyle blogs, I'm at home 2 days a week (excluding weekends) so I had time on my hands, seeings other blogs inspired me to start. I love sharing my views and helping others, starting a blog was the best way for me to get out there!

What is your favourite spring/summer nail colour?
This is a hard one. . . I love me some mint but I think I love lilac just a little bit more.
Pastels are essential for spring/summer!

What is your favourite piece of clothing?
At the moment, I'm really loving a leather jacket I bought quite a while ago.
It just adds that edge to any outfit, I'm quite a simple and comfortable dresser, the jacket makes it look I put some thought into my outfit! (haha)

If you had to choose only one makeup product to use for the rest of your life, what would it be?
It has to be my eyebrow pencil, I can't go anywhere without having my eyebrows done, they make my face!
I can live without everything else. Having eyebrows is a must, who doesn't like having eyebrows?!

Where do you see yourself in a year?
I will be at the end of my fashion course at college (UK) and I'm hoping to branch out in the fashion industry, I'm only 16 (turning 17 in July!) so I'm not really sure yet, may do a fashion design course at uni, it's hard to decide.

What is your "life motto"?
I'm always smiling and laughing and I love making people do the same!
My motto is "A day without laughter is a day wasted
Always make the most of your days, be around those that make you smile and do what makes you happy.

Who do you get your fashion or beauty inspiration from?
Quite a few youtubers inspire me so it's hard to choose, my top 5 are Gracie (UglyFaceOfBeauty), Patricia (Patricia Bright), Sammi (BeautyCrush), Jennie (BeautyByJJ) and Shirley (ShirleyBEniang). Definitely check out there channels!

When did your beauty/fashion interest start?
I've had an interest in fashion from a really young age from drawing horribly shaped dresses to wrapping a sheet around my body to pretend it was a dress. I've never lost interest! My interest in beauty started about a year ago when I started to wear make up regularly.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and what kind of "housing" would you want?
I live in London at the moment and I can honestly say I would love to stay in London. Somewhere in America would be nice too. An apartment would be great for me, big houses aren't my thing.
Maybe when I'm older, my mind will change.

What is your dream job?
Ever since the age of 9 , whenever someone asked me what I wanted to be when I was older, I screamed "fashion designer" without hesitation and until this day, I haven't changed my mind one bit.

Can you describe yourself/your life in 3 words?
I'm pretty weird so that would have to be the first word, generous is the second one, the third one describes my life, bittersweet!

As part of the nomination, I have to nominate 11 other blogs and ask them 11 questions, these are the blogs I nominate:

http://freshbeautyxox.blogspot.co.uk/

Here are the questions I have for you lovelies:

What is your favourite make up item?
What inspired you to start blogging?
What are your favourite clothing combinations?
What is something you are passionate about and why?
If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you'd buy?
Do you prefer gold or silver jewellery?
What makes you smile?
What is your favourite food or beverage?
Do you have any phobias?
What is your favourite season?
What is your lifetime ambition?

Thanks again to Emilie for nominating me, please check out her blog everyone!
And thank you to everyone that views my blog regularly and leaves such lovely comments,
hope you're all well and will continue to support me!

The Orange Lip

Hello lovelies,

The orange lip trend is alive and is going to help you enhance your summer look and here's how!

sourced from Google

The orange lip looks best when it is paired with black mascara or eyelashes and minimal eye shadow.

For tanned or darker toned skin, using a matte and vivid colour lipstick will look great. MAC's Morange is definitely a good lipstick for these skin tones.

For those on the other side of the spectrum, softer coral tones are best for paler complexions as it won't wash you out, also adding a gloss can help soften the look. MAC's Vegas Volt is a great lipstick for paler tones and using the Lustre Glass in Love Nectar on top will definitely bring the orange lip look together.

Hope you try out 'the orange lip' look this summer, are there any other great orange lipsticks out there? Tell me about them, hope you're all well,

Jesslyn x
