NEW HAIR | Ombre Bob

As promised a post about new hair!

Well hello there, you're all probably used to seeing my hair up in a bun but it was time for a change! I knew I wanted to do another bob but I wasn't sure if I wanted to stick to the same old black bob.
So I took several trips to the hair shop to try and figure out exactly what I wanted.

I finally decided on a blonde-y light brown (colour 30 in weave terms haha) ombre-weave-bob. There's colour 30 in the back and then colour 1B/30 from the middle towards the front. I also have a L-part leave out!

I wanted it to be slightly shorter than my previous bob so it is a little bit shorter at the back, got some breeze hitting the neck. It's a bit of a messy bob too, I didn't want a neat one like my previous bob.
When styling it, I do curls going different ways just to give it that messy look! I may do a hair tutorial in the future!

What do you guys think about my new hair? You like?

Haha thanks for reading,

How's Life Jess?

Hello my lovelies!

As you guys can probably tell, I'm struggling to be consistent. I have so many posts planned but I'm finding it hard to find time to put the posts together. Obviously education comes first and I'm so close to finishing my college course that most of my energy is going into that.

Because there is so much to talk about, I took loads of pictures but only put up a few that were the main events in my absence. I'll talk about everything in picture order, that'll make things easier!

In the first picture, me and the family went to the local park. Me and my sister took that as a chance to take a million and one pictures, head over to my instagram, I've become a regular user if you must know! I've been trying to spend more time with the family, which is always hard because were hardly home at the same time. So it was nice to spend a day with them!

Next is me learning how to drape fabric on the bias. I'm so used to drawing out patterns, I love me some numbers so pattern cutting is 'fun' to me. I like draping but it's long winded.

Now I've tried to keep up my work out regime, I'm doing pretty well. I've started walking and jogging along with my squat and ab workouts. I'll probably do a fitness post in the near future.

You guys obviously know about absence, it was partly because I couldn't find my 8gb memory card. It had so many pictures on it and it was stressing me out that I couldn't find it. It was misplaced for weeks and I ended up finding it inside one of my tracksuit bottoms. *sigh*

I'm sorry this post has no structure to it haha! So much has happened and only the Lord knows how I've even managed to keep up with certain things.

As I'm in my final term at college, we have to put together a 4 piece collection for the 26th of June. I'm super excited, my collection is based on tomboys, androgyny and the 90's. I haven't made a jacket before so they will be the main focus of my collection. I'll keep you guys updated!

Speaking of my collection, my bag has been a mess. No girls' handbag should like this, mine is full of pattern paper, calico, pins and all sorts. Oh, the life of fashion student. . .

. . . Soon to be a fashion 'design' student! For the past couple of months, I've been travelling up and down (and outside!) London for uni interviews. I've finally confirmed my place at my first choice uni so super chuffed about that. I'm pretty much ready to start, student finance sorted, I'm not moving out, all I've got to focus on now is getting my grades/points.
I'm not moving out because I'm basically too scared to. I don't want the stress of moving out to affect my time at uni, so maybe in my second year I'll move out. Maybe!

Now for some new things in  my life! I've got my nails done, acrylics to be exact. I did a post on them earlier on in the week, so definitely check it out! I'm in love with them, I've become a bit obsessed with nails and designs. Definitely looking forward to my next trip to the nail shop.

Another new thing is my hair! My bob is back with a bang! It's an ombre bob this time, I really wanted something different and 'Spring-y' so this was the direction to go in. I'll be putting up a post very, very soon so keep a look out for it!

So that's my life update, hope you all didn't mind my absence and inconsistency! I'm back with regular posts so definitely stay tuned!

March Lust List 2014

Adidas Tracksuit Sports Direct | Nike Quick Baller Low Kids Trainers Sports Direct

Hey guys,

The start of April (well nearly 3 weeks in!), exciting I must say, it means only a couple months until the end of my college course and a few months until my birthday. I'm super excited!

As you guys know, I do monthly lust lists, last month, there wasn't anything I really wanted that I didn't try and get my hands on. I'm trying my best to save money, for summer, my birthday and the all important, final collection at college. So buying unnecessary things is a big no no.

On my lust list this month are what I would call 'basics'.

I'm always on the hunt for things I'll be able to wear/use over and over again and that's exactly what I've got on the lust list this month.
First up, an Adidas Tracksuit. For the past couple of weeks, I've been loving tracksuits, they're so comfortable and save me so much time in the morning. This one in particular has been on my list for a while now, I have two already, one more can't hurt!
Another item up on my lust list, also from Sports Direct, of course another pair of trainers. To me, they are essentials, buying a new pair every month or so doesn't seem excessive. Hmm.

Next is another 'basic' piece, a white v- neck cami. You can never have too many vest tops or white tees, I love the Topshop camis however they are hella overpriced but apparently worth it.

And lastly, a pair of beautiful black sandals. I'm not really a fan of open toed heels or sling backs, none of that. But, I tried on a pair in  New Look and I loved them, as usual, I started planning outfits in my head. They will be amazing to wear throughout the summer months.

So that's my monthly lust list for you guys, let me know what you've all had your eyes on recently.
I hope you all didn't miss me too much. I'm back with regular posts so stay tuned for new posts this coming week.

Thanks for reading,

Jesslyn

NYC Quattro Eyeshadow | Make Up Bag Essentials

L - R 1  2  3 4

NYC Quattro Eyeshadow 815 Best of Broadway

Hey lovelies,

I'm back! I know it's been a while but I'll update you all in another post.

Today I've got a review for you! It's an eyeshadow palette one, I bought this NYC palette from Superdrug a couple months back and it has been my daily make up essential ever since.

It consists of four neutral shades, I personally think the palette has quite a pink tone to it, let me know if you agree?
I have the MUA Undressed palette which is also a neutral palette but I always find myself sitting in front of the mirror trying to decide which shades to put together. I wanted a palette that would do that job for me, which is the NYC one. All I have to decide is, whether I want to use all the shades or just two.

I would say the downside to this palette is that they don't have names so I've had to name them shade 1 - 4 from L - R. I think, no matter how cheap the brand or palette is, the shades should always have a name, just to make it easier to explain to people what you're using. Take a leaf out of MAC's book!

The good things are, this palette is quite pigmented, especially shade 1, I find myself having to be very careful when using it. Pigmentation is something every eyeshadow lover looks for so when you buy a cheap palette that gives you that, it puts you on top of
 the world.

I keep saying the word 'cheap' but I can't remember how much this palette was exactly but I know I didn't pay anymore than £3 or £4.
It also came with a mini double ended applicator but I never use them and they always get lost in my make up drawers. I think every brand should ditch the applicators and replace them with mini brushes, the beauty world would be a much better place.

I like the packaging, it's much sturdier than MUA packaging, I feel confident chucking it into my make up without the eyeshadows crumbling or the packaging cracking. One thing I did dislike was that the printing on the front of it, rubbed off so quickly, very annoying. Every product loses it's touch when it rubs off.

You may look at the images and think 'she's hardly used it' but I can assure you it has been my daily palette and I will be using it for a very long time, it looks like it's never going to hit pan.

Overall, it is an amazing product, you can't wrong with a neutral palette that's under £5.
I definitely recommend this palette to anyone looking for a cheap, neutral palette and also to those that are make up beginners and are overwhelmed buying the variety of palettes out there.

I'd love to know if anyone's tried this palette, it would be great to know your thoughts too!

Thanks for reading and it's great to be back,

Jesslyn x
