NEW IN | Simple Khaki Dress

Khaki.
The colour that's on trend right now.
Everyone's rocking it and rocking it differently.

I've always been a fan of khaki, the neutral-ness but the fact that it's still a colour made me love it.
I don't have a lot of khaki pieces so it's time to grace my rail with some simple bits and bobs.

I went into trusty Primark and was on the hunt for some knitwear, there were nice pieces but nothing new.
I spotted a rack of knit dresses and tried on a few, I quite liked the grey version on this dress but I opted for the khaki.

It was only £10 which is good price for a staple piece that could be dressed up or down, layered or worn in Summer.

I can't wait to style it up because I'm usually a jeans and trainers girl so it will be fun to wear this more on a daily basis.

What do you guys think, are you a fan of khaki?

Take care,
Jesslyn

Nude Nails

I'm back to coffin nails, the pointy got really irritating, real quick!
I love stiletto nails but they're so much harder to maintain, they look great but can look bad before you even realise.

I know it's Autumn but I wanted to keep the nails quite subtle instead of going for my usual dark colours. Does everyone actually stick to the rules of dark nails in A/W?

This nail polish is by Cuccio in the shade, See It All In Montreal.
I love this shade, it compliments my skin tone well and it looks pretty and girly, even though I'm not the "pretty" and "girly" type lol
I hardly do nudes or pinks but it's actually nice to change it up sometimes.

I will embrace the change but my vampy nails are coming back real soon!

Hope you're all well and enjoying the lovely British weather (or not!)

OOTD | Yes Sir!

I felt like I was in the military with this outfit on, ready to fly an airplane!

I finally got my hands on a pair of khaki trousers and these ones are ripped cargo chinos. I love the relaxed fit of them and the fact that they are so easy to wear.
I'm loving khaki at the moment and need some more bits and bobs, maybe some knitwear?

Borrowed my sister's bomber that she got off of eBay and definitely want to get my hands on a khaki one and a wine and a navy haha want them all!
I love jackets, how can you not?

Now, let's talk about this ADIDAS cap.
I have been wearing it nearly everyday, to the gym, to uni, to shop, everyday, everywhere!
I love the style of it and how it goes with every outfit.
I need another one as back up lol

So that's it guys, bit of a different outfit, hopefully you can take bits of it and style it up in your own way.
I love these chinos, definitely try and get your hands on them because they're on sale at the moment!

I'm wearing:
EBAY Bomber
PRIMARK Ribbed Polo Neck

REVIEW | MAC Charged Water (Full Review)

On my way to Majorca, I picked up the MAC Charged Water Skin Hydrating Mist. I originally wanted the Fix + but they didn't have any in stock.
Duty free is the best opportunity for me to buy MAC products because I don't usually shop there and their products always last until I travel again.
So why not save some £££'s?

Anyway, I purchased the Hydrating Mist as an alternative and used it whilst on holiday and I actually loved it. It was so refreshing to mist on the beach, by the pool and so forth haha

I put it to the full test when I got back and I must say. it definitely did the job.
Whenever I felt that my face needed a bit of freshening up, I'd whip it out and spritz, spritz, voila!

It's especially great for after powdering or 'baking' your face, it eliminates the cakey look and gives you the flawless, glowy face.

I love the packaging, the lock and unlock feature is so smart and gets rid of having lids which is something I hate most. They always get lost and they you're left with an uncovered product.
Being able to twist it open and close is the best!

I bought this mist back in June, so 4 months ago and it's only half way. I use it every time I do my make up so it's lasted very long, plus I also use it throughout the day to refresh.

It's £17.50 but I picked it up in duty free for £14.99 which is a little bit of a discount.
I'd say it's worth the price, it's does a great job and it's a must have in the make up drawers!

I'd love to know if anyone has tried it! Did you like it? Is it worth the money?
Let me know!

Hope you're all well,
Jesslyn

Gym Wishlist

Oh wow, it's been ages since I did a wishlist.
I've been completely missing the stage of wishing and have been the slapping the contactless all over the place.
However, it's time to pull back the reigns a bit and actually stick to wishing and spare my bank account (even though, my wardrobe needs a revamp, js!)

If you've been reading for a while, you'd know I've completely become obsessed with working out and going to the gym. I've been going for about a year but have only been really taking it seriously for about 8 months but we'll save that for another day.

Throughout the Summer, I couldn't stop buying gym clothes, it was ridiculous (and not cheap!)

So now, I actually want to spend my money or real clothes and gym stuff belongs on here haha

As you can probably tell, I'm loving Adidas at the moment, I've always been a fan but they've been upping their game recently and are definitely catching my eye.

I hope to get a lookbook up for you guys if the weather holds out but until then just enjoy the wishlist!

Take care,
Jesslyn

NEW IN + mini review | MUA Power Pout Acrylic

A girl needed some pigmented lip products in her life and a girl got it!

I recently went into Superdrug to have a browse and I saw on the MUA counter that they had some new bits (or bits I hadn't seen before) so I got excited.

I've been seeing loads of Youtubers/Bloggers/Instagrammers talking about lip lacquers, lip stains, matte lipglosses etc. so I wanted to get my hands on some to see what the hype is about.

I'm not one to splash out on products because of hype so I was pretty chuffed to see MUA had something similar for a good price.

The MUA Power Pout Acrylic is £3.50 each but I got my hands on them for £5 for both because Superdrug were doing a deal.

I've used both of them and I quite like them. They're both very pigmented, there's no lacking in that sector. They also last very long, I don't have to reapply throughout my whole uni day which is around 7-9hours.
I do wish they were a bit more matte so maybe I've got to hunt for a matte version of it but for £2.50 each (on offer) I'm not complaining.

I'd recommend it to anyone on the hunt for a pigmented lip product for an affordable price and I'd suggested doing it quick while the offer still stands!
Full review and swatches coming soon.

Hope you're all well,
Jesslyn

P.S Crownbrush are offering 10% off all their products when you use the code Contour15!

Basic Hairstyle

Primark Denim Shirt

Your girl has changed her hair once again.
I can't help it ahhh!

I love being able to change my hair so frequently because I do get bored pretty quick of a certain look.

Long, black hair is my basic, go-to hairstyle, when I'm not sure what I want to do to my hair, I revert back to this hairstyle.

The only thing completely different about this basic style is that it's actually a U-Part wig, it's perfect for me and allows me to fully take care of my natural hair.

I love the texture of this hair because it matches mine so well and reduces the amount of heat I have to use.

Overall, it's just a simple hairstyle and having the U-Part means that I can change it to a side part or keep it a middle, you know, options, options haha

Hair will probably change soon before you know it so definitely stayed tuned because I'll definitely keep you posted.

Hope you're all well,
Jesslyn

OOTD | TubularXDenim

Uni is back in full swing and having to put in effort 3 days a week is the norm now. No more gym wear everyday *cries*, however, I'm still sticking to my regular gym schedule.

This is probably one of the first proper outfits I've worn since my last OOTD!
It's a pretty basic outfit, I think everyone needs a denim shirt in their wardrobe, they're so easy to wear.
They can be dressed up or down, of which I've done both. Check out how styled it for a birthday dinner
But for uni, I keep it casual as per.

This is also the first time I'm showing you guys how I style the Adidas Tubular trainers.
I've been wearing them non stop, I wear them to gym but they are NOT 'fitness' shoes. I never run in them because they don't provide that support and they are not made for that. I mainly weight train at gym so they are okay for me.
You'll be seeing more of them!

I'm wearing:

PRIMARK Denim Shirt (alternative
JANE NORMAN High Waisted Trousers (alternative
ARMANI Tote Bag
 ADIDAS Tubular Trainers via Schuh
CASIO Watch via The Watch Hut

Take care,
Jesslyn

Hand Care is Important Too

Winter is fast approaching, can you believe it's nearly Christmas? haha
Well, with winter comes dry skin, for me that's when my oily skin turns to oily on the T-zone and dry on the cheekbones, just a total mess.

My body also becomes very dry, especially my hands, elbows, knees, shins and feet, so extra moisture is a must.

I'm that girl that always has hand cream or Vaseline just because I cannot stand dry skin,  my skin absorbs moisture so quick so having something to top me up is essential.

Down below are hand creams that you may need this A/W to keep them looking fresh. Hands reveal your age so keeping them looking soft and wrinkle free for as long as possible is essential.
