My Daily Make Up Products & Tools

Hello my lovelies!

A beauty post today, I love sharing what I use on my face, so many of you comment on my 'flawless skin' or 'nice shaped eyebrows'. So today I thought I'd share my daily face with you all.

I know when you look at the images above, it may look like a lot but I threw in some extras for you guys.

This post is going to be a long one so prepare yourselves, get your teas, sit back and read on.
I've also split it up into sections so you can read what you fancy!
(I'll also try and find links and links to my reviews to all the products I use)

The Base

No flawless make up look can be achieved without a good base, whether or not you use foundation.
The base is the main part of your look and is the foundation (no pun intended!) of a flawless face.
It took me ages to find the right products that worked well on my skin, watching endless Youtube tutorials (my faves: BeautybyJJ, UglyFaceofBeauty and ShirleyBEniang) to try and learn the best way to apply the base.
I know a lot people prefer to do their concealer before their foundation but I personally don't. I feel that my make up looks better when I start of with a blemish free face and also my skin is all types of shades so applying foundation helps a lot.
By applying my foundation first means I can conceal under the eyes, highlight and contour without having to worry about covering up marks etc.

Obviously, before I apply any make up, I moisturise, let it settle for about 5-7mins and then I apply my primer (along with lip moisturising products) and then I spray my fixing mist onto my oily areas (T-Zone and cheeks). By spraying the fixing mist onto my face first (which some may find unnecessary), it just helps my foundation and other base products stick without sliding halfway throughout the day.

Back to basing! After I've concealed under the eyes, highlighted and contoured, I use my sheer loose powder to blend it out. I prefer to use a translucent powder because I don't really like the cake-y look for the average day. I just think it's way too much so a translucent powder is a great alternative if you want to eliminate shine without adding extra product.

With bronzer, it's an occasional thing. I've never really loved bronzer but I finally gave in and bought one and I must say, I really like it. For the days I don't feel like contouring or wearing blusher, my bronzer is the quixk fix. It's just so easy to apply and gives you that instant glow.

Speaking of blusher, it's one of the last things I do. I apply it on my cheeks, ever so slightly on the tip of my nose and chin, just to give me a bit more colour, just how they used to do way (way) back in the day, when they'd pinch their cheeks to give themselves some colour..

The Eyes/Eyebrows

I'm not a huge eyeshadow/eyeliner girl, I'm all about the brows however, a daily smokey eye is a must for me.
To achieve my subtle, day smokey eye, I use the NYC Quattro Eyeshadow, it has all the shades laid out for me and all I have to do is choose the shades I want to use and away I go with the blending brush.
I top that off with some mascara and voila. I have eyelashes on in the images above, trying to master them before my birthday do!

Now, my brows are the babies of my face, I care so much about them, it's ridiculous.
Ever since I touched them with a razor (yes, a razor, don't judge me haha) at 11/12, I've never looked back, they've improved with time and I'm happy with how they look at the moment.
To get my natural brows in shape, I either pluck or use hair removal cream, I hate pain so most of the time, I find myself using the cream. I get the same results, it's just painless with the cream.
I fill them in with an eyebrow pencil, a lot people don't like the pencil but I find it easiest and I get the look I want with it. I conceal with a foundation, a couple shades lighter my skin tone, that comes in form of a tester which was sent to me ages ago. I use it just so I get that 'clean' look around my eyebrows.

Not much going on with the eye area but less is more and a statement brow is everything!

The Lips

Lips. Lipstick, lip gloss, lip lacquers can completely change a make up look. You can go from a simple day look to a vampy night look by just changing your lippie.
I know during the Summer, you're supposed to experiment with brighter shades but I've been drawn to my nude lippies lately. A nude lipstick topped off with lipgloss has been my go to lip. If I do want to add a bit colour, I go for my orange (not as scary as it sounds!) or pink lipstick both finished with a nude lipgloss.

Lip lacquers are also great, they last ages on the lip and are very pigmented which is good for bright lipsticks.

With lips, it's always best to go one or the other, if you do a statement eye look, finish with a nude lip and vice versa.

The Brushes

And lastly, brushes. I love me a good make up brush, I do!
Great make up brushes = flawless face!
I have a variety of make up brushes but my daily ones are wilted down to 9 brushes.
I love my RT Buffing Brush, it's a great brush, it's easy to use and washes well.
eBay have great qualitybrushes too, I found a great dupe for my RT Buffing Brush and many others such as my blending brush.

I think everyone needs a good foundation brush, a couple of eyeshadow blending brushes, a powder brush which could also double up as a blusher brush. An eyebrow brush is very handy if you're set on doing your brows and extras such as a contour brush, a spoolie, an angled brush are also good to have.

So that's my lowdown on my make up brushes.
