OOTD: Wedding

Dress - Arden B.
Shoes & Clutch - New Look (old)
Jewellery - Primark

Hey,

As you can see, I'm not in trainers today and I've swapped them for a pair of heels. This dress had been sitting in my wardrobe for a while and going to the wedding was a chance for me to wear it.
My dad bought it from Arden B. when he last went to New York, I think it's an American brand, I've linked the site above.

I was going to be boring and wear a pair of black heels with a black clutch but in the end I decided to brighten it all up with my matching pair of coral heels and clutch.
I was in such a rush to get ready because I'd woken up late that I couldn't find the matching flower to go in my hair, boo :(

You can't really see my make up in the pictures but I'm going to re-create it in a FOTD for you guys!

I'm actually quite tired and I'm in bed typing this but I was looking through the pictures I took yesterday and wanted to get this post up.
Hope you guys liked my outfit, thanks for reading and stay tuned!

How To: Make A Collar

Equipment

Paper
Fabric (of your choice)
Set Square
Sewing Machine
Scissors (fabric and paper)
H Pencil
Iron

Hey guys!

About a week ago, I made a collar at college, I really enjoyed doing it and wanted to share how to do it.
I love the outcome and how they look, even to do the point that I may start making them for sale in different fabrics around Christmas time so I'll see how that goes!

Right, I'm going to do a step by step so it's going to be a long one today lovelies!

Unfortunately, it will be easier for you to do this 'DIY' if you've got a sewing machine and if you understand pattern information.

Key:
TC : Top Collar
CS : Under Collar

Follow the instructions on how to draw the pattern pieces for the collar.
0-2 is half the size of your neck. 19 cm is the measurement I used.
Shoulder notch will be 8cm along 0-2.

Cut out the pattern and add seam allowance.

Place the pattern on the fabric and cut 2 pieces on the fold.

Cut out your pieces! Cut, cut, cut!

You should have 2 of each of the pieces shown above and they should look like this when they're opened up.

Take the 2 TC pieces, put the right sides together and stitch along the sides and top edge with 1cm seam allowance, leaving the top open.

Trim the seam allowance down to 2mm, all the way around the stitching. And then turn it inside out to the right side.

Top stitch and iron it.

Sandwich the TC between the CS but turn them upside down with the right sides together.

Stitch and trim seam allowance down to 2mm all the way around.

Pull the collar down onto the right side. And iron it well.

Fold the CS up over the TC and iron.

Lift the left side and the right side and pin or you can add buttons or actually join the collar to the top you're making.

The outcome!

Hope you guys liked the How To post and enjoyed making your collar, I know I did and I'm eager to make more!

NEW TRAINERS

Nike Team Hustle D6 Junior Basketball Trainers

Hey everyone,

As you can see, I've bought another pair of trainers.
I can happily say that I have an addiction to buying trainers, I am a proud trainer buyer and wearer.

I saw these trainers in UglyFaceOfBeauty's fashion haul on Youtube and I bought them the next day without hesitation. My mum was not happy at all.

I love them, the colour, the shape, the way it looks when I wear it, everything about them I love!

However, I did get a blister yesterday on the back of my ankle due to wearing ankle socks instead of long socks that cover my ankles, so the back of the trainers were rubbing, I just put some Vaseline on the blister which kept the pain at ease for the day and now I know for next time to wear the right socks.

That didn't stop my love for my new trainers, they're too beautiful to hate.

You're going to be seeing a lot them, might as well embrace them now haha

College OOTD: Tapered Trousers & Shirt

Blazer - H&M
Shirt - (random shop on the high street)
Trousers - Select
Belt - Primark
Shoes - Nike Satires
Rings, Necklace, Bracelet & Bag - Primark

Hey lovelies,

Another OOTD for you, I've been waiting ages to rock these trousers, I could've worn them ages ago but I every time I went to wear them, the outfit I'd put together didn't look right.

I'm a huge fan of tapered trousers, who's a fan too?!
I really want a few more this A/W, I think my style is changing quite a bit this A/W (don't worry, the trainers aren't going anywhere!) and I'm really excited to ease the new clothes into my wardrobe.

I know I'm going to get a good wear out of these trousers, they're so comfortable, prepare yourself, you're going to be seeing a lot of them. I'm also loving the shirt, love the fact that it's loose fitting and has movement!

More OOTD's are coming your way guys, stay tuned!

Coats I Love

Oversized Coat - Primark

Hi guys,

If you follow me on twitter, you'd see my ongoing tweets about how much I love tweed blazers and coats.
I really do love them.

I've picked 3 that I've had my eye on online, my favourite has to be the dark BF coat from New Look, however I still can't decide which one I actually want.

I suggested to my mum that I could get 2, she said 'that's ridiculous' as I have one too many jackets and coats already. I said 'I'll get one, it's an investment' haha
I've got so many ways to wear it planned out with clothes I also don't have but I'm so excited!

What are your opinions on the BF coats that are floating about?  And how would you style them? I'd love to know!

MUA Eye Shadow Shade 19 - Matte | Review

Hello lovelies,

It's review time and I'm reviewing this lovely eye shadow, I got it a couple days before I started college and have been using daily until recently as I'm trying to experiment with more colour.

I don't usually like buying single eye shadows as with palettes there's a number of colours for you to create a look with. However, I couldn't resist and ending up buying it because I loved the shade and the fact that it was matte.
I have hooded eyelids so matte eye shadows are best when doing crease work as shimmery/pearl eye shadows emphasise that I have hooded eyelids.

I mainly use this eye shadow for the crease which I use my blending brush to blend in, It's quite pigmented and lasts long with a primer, I tried it without a primer and it creased halfway through the day as I have oily skin so since I've always used a primer and it's always lasted the day.

I'm quite happy with this product and at £1 you can't really go wrong, it's definitely great to have if you want that everyday, neutral look. I'd recommend it!

Let me know if you've tried it or any other mono eye shadows from MUA!
Thanks for reading lovelies
