I LOVE Cosmetics Home Fragrance Range*

*This post contains gifted items, all views/opinions/experiences expressed within the post are all my own.

I'm a happy woman when my bedroom is filled with amazing scents, I live for candles and reed diffusers because they calm the atmosphere and for me, a calm atmosphere means a calm and clear mind.

I LOVE Cosmetics is a brand that offers a wide range of beauty and skincare products, they decided to expand and launch a home fragrance range which I think is a great addition. When I was asked if I'd like to try out the new range, I most definitely couldn't say no. I can never say no to a candle!
However that wasn't the only thing that made me want to try them. On looking into the brand, I discovered that they're against animal testing, vegan friendly, their products don't contain any chemicals and are also made in the UK which is amazing.

When I opened the package, it honestly felt like Christmas day, they have amazing packaging, would be great for gifting, I didn't even want to take anything out because it looked so precious!
Straight away I lit the Violet Dreams candle and my bedroom was filled with a strong but sweet, floral scent. I quickly opened the diffuser to enhance the 'experience' and it complimented the candle very well, it was't overpowering at all. I could definitely smell the rose scent, usually when you're body is lacking vitamins or healing agents, it usually responds well to scents you need, in my case, it was the rose. Rose has anti-inflammatory properties so I'm not surprised that was the scent that my body called for.

I had a quick smell of the English Rose reed diffuser, again, I loved it and saved it for when the Violet Dreams one eventually finishes, it's quite a big diffuser in comparison to ones I usually buy, so I can see it lasting ages. It's been a few days since having it in my bedroom and I love how it's settling in.

I LOVE Cosmetics is a new brand to me, I was impressed to know they were shortlisted for two Pure Beauty Awards which gives me a lot of confidence in terms of wanting to try more from them.
They offer so many products, I'd love to try their bath salts and exfoliators next, there's so many scents to choose from, I have my eye on the Vanilla Milk bath salt though!

Definitely check out their website and social channels, you might find something you like, whether it be for yourself or as a gift for someone. Have you tried anything from I Love Cosmetics, I'd love to know what you've tried and how you got on!

The Bedside

IKEA Table Lamp | IKEA Glass Side Table | Wilko Basket (small/large)

My family and I moved house about 6 months ago and we've been slow on the decorating but my main job is me and my sister's bedroom.
We went to the trusty IKEA to pick up some bits, we actually went for shelves and decorative things but we started getting excited by lamps and bed frames, you know, the normal stuff you get excited by in IKEA.
We had a vision for our room but my sister spotted this lamp and we had to get it, we didn't know what we were going to do with it or where it was going to go but we were not leaving IKEA without it.
So from there, our theme kind of changed and we started looking for things to match the lamp etc. etc. as you do in IKEA. We were going to do the whole white, girly bedroom thing but we soon realised that it wasn't for us.
We needed a bedside table/drawers to put the lamp on but none seemed to really go until we spotted this ah-maaazinggg glass side table, instantly we were like yasssss, this is the one.
The only problem was that we wanted something with drawers but managed to settle for some kind of basket. The baskets they had in IKEA were too wide so we got the lamp and glass table and then I searched online and found bathroom storage in Wilko and they had exactly what we were looking for.

The baskets are great for storing bits and bobs like the TV remote, reading glasses etc. so I'm glad we found some, we have the large and small one (not shown) and they were pretty cheap, no more than a fiver!

I'm really liking where the look of this room is going, were on the hunt for a glass top desk and it's proving difficult to find the perfect one but we will eventually. There will be loads of DIY going on also so I'm pretty excited. I'll definitely keep you guys updated.

Hope you liked this post, feel free to leave any interior/decor suggestions!

Take care,
Jesslyn

Interior | Bedroom Wishlist

Hey guys,

If you've been reading for a while, I moved house over Christmas and my bedroom is still not in order, uni took all my time and it's only now, with finishing uni and all that, I actually get time to sit down and think about decorating.

I went through a period in time, before I fell in love with fashion design, where I loveeddd interior design. My dad was forcing me to go into architecture and I thought the next best thing was interior. Now I'm able to decorate and make a space 'oh so fancy', it's triggering the love I had.

It's quite a fun thing to do, picking out bits and pieces to decorate with, choosing a colour scheme etc.
I do share a bedroom with my sister, we're similar in age and have quite similar styles also so it will be great to join minds and make a beautiful room.
We're going for a pretty casual theme of white with accents of black, silver and grey.

Above are a few things we thought would look good in the room, we're not 100% yet but these are the bits we've been lusting over lately.
Desenio has become my best friend for bedroom art, they've got such amazing pieces on there, for great prices as well.
Obviously, IKEA is a staple when it comes to decorating but were looking for bigger pieces on there such as mirrors and desks.
If you guys don't know about JessMessDesign, she's a lovely girl that I found on Instagram and she's a letterer. She does really cute prints and I really want one for my room, she does customised ones as well!

So that's my mini wishlist, mini because my bookmarks are full of stuff I want to get haha I can't wait to show you guys how the room will look after it's all done!

What do you guys think of my wishlist? Any tips on decorating? Would love to hear them!

Take care,
Jesslyn

Interior | Coconut Lane

As some of you may know, the family and I had a hectic house move over the Christmas period and believe me when I say, it was tough. Never move house over Christmas lol.
But the struggle is over and we've just got round to fully clearing things out we didn't need/want and it's more or less time to decorate. I've become crazily obsessed with interiors and decorating, takes me back to when my dad nearly forced me to go into architecture so I said I'd settle for interior design instead but I fell in love with fashion and followed that dream. (P.S Never let your parents force you to study something you don't want to!)
I love being able to take a blank canvas and make it my own. I'd love to buy houses, strip them and re-decorate them from scratch, there's that sense of accomplishment when it's all done.
However, for now, my bedroom is the blank canvas and I'm super excited to get it all done up. I've been on the hunt for desks, shelving, prints and frames, the lot. I've kind of figured out what furniture I want to go in, it's just the nitty gritty bits, such as prints and frames.
I was contacted by the lovely Charlotte at Coconut Lane and she offered me 50% off the store and I was so excited because I saw they had wall art, a great way to kick off my search.
My sister and I picked out this print 'Be a diamond in a world of rhinestones.' as we literally went through them all and was like yassss when we read this one.
I think it's a really nice quote to have up just to remind you.
It's just a matter of finding a photo frame, I feel it's so hard to find the perfect frame, when it's the perfect thickness, it's the wrong colour. When it's the right colour, it's the wrong shape, there is always something.
If anyone knows where to get photo frames from, please do let me know!
This is one print of many, I've found some really nice ones and I can't wait to order them and show you guys and show you how I put them up.

So that's it really, introducing a few interior posts here on FS, also if you do want to purchase anything at Coconut Lane definitely use my code 'fashionsquash20' for 20% off!

Take care,
Jesslyn
