OOTD | Casual Intern

BF Tee & High Waisted Jeans Primark | Snapback eBay | Shoes Nike Hustle Basketball Trainers

Hey everyone,

Some of you may know that I've started an internship with Jylle Navarro and I thought I'd show you guys what I wear every now and then.
I know my outfit is pretty casual but I'm working in a design studio and lovely shirts and stiff blazers are not conducive.

It was actually raining so the snapback was a must, I hate umbrellas so hats and hoods are my alternatives.

I love my new Primark Boyfriend Tee, it's so easy to style. I didn't do much with it on this occasion but I definitely will.

I wore my brown tote bag so it did add some life to my outfit. Also my red hair adds colour to my dark outfits, I've been wearing all black so much lately!

What do you guys think? Are you frowning on the idea of not making much effort as a fashion intern or do you think it's best to just stick to what's comforable?
I'd love to know your opinions because I'm not sure, I'm playing it safe for now!

Jesslyn

Interning with Jylle Navarro | Day 2

Hi guys,

Day 2 of interning with Jylle Navarro, I was definitely in my zone.

Jylle said I could go through her old collection and sort them into piles, take pictures, instagram, try things on. I was like, oh hell yes!

I've never seen so many unique pieces in one room, I think I handled about 80 pieces and each one was unique.
There will be a sample sale during the Summer so I just helped put things into piles so they'd be easier to put out when needed.
I took some pictures for Instagram and the blog, obviously.

Jylle even generously said I could have any top from the pile, I tried one on (along with 5 pieces I just had to try!) and I fell in love with it and didn't take it off.
I took some pictures of me wearing it but that will be in another post in the near future!

I really enjoyed my 2nd day, I had so much fun as you can see in the picture of me grinning. It made me realise that running your own line isn't easy and you always needs extra hands as a designer.
I've never really thought about promotion, sample sales, how many garments you have to make in order to sell, it was just really eye-opening.

I'm having fun interning, can't wait to continue throughout the Summer! If you want to ask me/Jylle any questions, feel free to email me/tweet me!

Make sure you guys show Jylle some love and like her Facebook page (I'm featured on there!) and follow her on Twitter/Instagram!

Fitness | What I Do

Hi guys,

I've been getting a few comments and questions about how great my body looks (not bragging but hey. . .) or how comes I'm so slim.
So I thought I'd give you guys the low down.

First of all, I'm going to start off by saying, I have a very fast metabolism. I do no diet, at all.
So please, please don't ask what I eat or ask anything about portions because I have no clue.
I eat everything, carbs, fast food, the skin on the chicken (sorry to all the vegetarians reading!) but you get the picture. I don't diet, I don't plan to unless my metabolism slows down.

Now because I don't diet and have a fast metabolism, it doesn't mean I was also blessed with a perfectly toned body. I have to do some work you know!
So here's what I do to keep in shape.

Fitness Blender is my favourite when it comes to workout videos. They guide you step by step, someone does the workout with you and I just think overall, it's a very motivational fitness channel.
My two favourite workouts are 'the 100 rep squat challenge' and 'the 10mins standing abs workout'.
Whenever I workout with these videos, I either do, one or the other, or both. This works for me because it prevents me from getting bored.

I've embedded the videos below so you can get stuck in if you like!

I've also wanted to take up jogging, that's the reason for the water bottle. It was £1.50 from Primark and it has a freezer stick which is great. I love the colour and how sturdy it is, thumbs up Primark!
I've jogged a couple times but I just can't find the time to do it regularly.

I'm starting uni in September and there's a gym within the campus so I'm going to be signing up when I start.
I'll definitely update you guys when the time is right!

So that's it guys, not much to my fitness routine but less is more and it works for me!
Also, it's always good to start off easy and work your way up.

Let me know what you guys do to keep fit!

Thanks for reading,
Jesslyn

Disclaimer - I know that having a fast metabolism doesn't mean I can eat unhealthily. I eat the baddies in moderation, I just don't keep an eye on what I eat because I don't have to. Hope you all understand x

My Favourite Jacket | The Quilted Bomber

Hi guys,

I thought I'd share my favourite jacket with you all.

I've always been in love with jackets, they are my favourite things to wear, obviously after my beloved trainers. They can change the look of an outfit by you just stuffing your arms through the sleeves.
I have so many different types of jackets, boyfriend ones, leather ones, quilted ones, parka ones, hooded ones, all sorts!

However, I've managed to single out my favourite one. The H&M Quilted Bomber.

I bought this jacket over year now and I've never stopped loving it. I remember seeing it in H&M and I wanted to get it straight away but my bestie said just wait, think about it, we'll go somewhere else and if you don't see/like anything else, you should get it!
We went around London, well, from Camden to Oxford Street and I couldn't like anything else. I needed that jacket.
So I went back, paid my £25 and I had my amazing jacket. Funnily enough, my bestie bought the same jacket in black, you just can't leave a beauty on the racks.

I'll try and link a few outfits below but it's such a versatile jacket. It can be layered up in A/W and then worn with a dress in S/S. One of my favourite things about this jacket has to be the orange lining, I'm a sucker for a contrast lining. If you look at my jackets on Jesslyn Robert Clothing, you'd see the mint green lining!
Love contrast!

So that's my favourite jacket, I know it's been over a year and it won't be in stores but the 'bomber jacket' is in trend at the moment so I'm sure you'll find one similar.

Interning with Jylle Navarro | Day 1

Hi guys,

If you all saw me getting excited yesterday on Twitter, you'd know that I bagged myself a little Summer internship!

I'm going to be interning with Jylle Navarro, she's an amazing knitwear designer based in London.

I love her studio, so inspiring and definitely a space where you can disappear and be in your own little world.
Well, this is going to be my third home for the Summer and I'm super excited.

For the first day, I was weaving, pretty simple but you always learn something new even if it's simple and you've done it before. It also seemed to be a little bit of a challenge with acrylic nails on but by the end, I figured out the best way to do it.

It's really fun to be working for a designer, I aspire to be one and it's really cool to see the process from start to finish!
I'll definitely try and take more pictures, it completely slipped my mind to actually take pictures!

Make sure you guys show Jylle some love and like her Facebook page and follow her on Twitter!

Thanks for reading,
Jesslyn
