4 Looks with the MUA Glamour Nights Palette

Hi my lovelies!

I was rummaging through my make up drawers and I was discovering so much stuff I hadn't used in ages! I'm definitely a hoarder and I buy things I don't need, I'll admit that however I do like going through my stash and finding things I haven't used in a while.
Sometimes I feel really happy that I didn't give away/sell my things because I thought I'd never use them, you never know when you might want to actually use them. Am I the only that thinks that or do I have serious hoarding problem haha?

Well, when I was going through my make up stuff and I found my MUA Glamour Nights Palette. I bought it last July around my birthday so it's been just under a year since I've had it. I've used it a couple times but not enough!
So I thought, why not get some use out of it and do some looks for the blog and that's what I've done for you guys!
I've used every single shade from the palette to create 4 different looks. They all have an element of glam, whether it's subtle or a bit wow, I think this palette is great for those nights out.

Look 1 - Neutral Glam

The first look is a neutral smokey eye. It's pretty simple but most of the shades are glittery so it adds some sparkle to the look.

Look 2 - Tropical Glam

This look is quite fun, it's really colourful but not over the top. It's quite simple on top but the red undertone of the look adds that 'oomph' and the pop of green on the waterline gives it that edge.

Look 3 - Grey Glam

Next is the grey look! I love this look, it's definitely my fave. It's bit more dramatic than the others, I love the purple base and then the drama of the glittery silver eyeshadow on top.

Look 4 - Dark Glam

This is the last look, it's a very dark smokey eye. It took a lot of blending to get it like this. It's very dramatic and the pop of gold brightens up the darkeness of the whole eye. I have hooded eyelids so this method of a very dark eye look definitely works for me.

So I hope you guys liked my 4 eyeshadow looks using the MUA Glamour Nights palette. Which was your favourite look, 1, 2, 3 or 4? I'd love to know!

I think all of these looks would look amazing with some great lashes and a red or nude lip!
Let me know what you guys think!

Hope you liked and thanks for reading,

What's New In Jess' . . . Closet? | Primark Basics

Hey guys,

Mini haul for you guys!
As I've said in previous posts, I've been loving Primark at the moment however right above, all you see is black!
Everyone needs a few new basics in the wardrobe whether it be a white vest top or a grey cami or a black tee, you always need them.

This time I headed into Primark to look for a white crop top (that I didn't find) that I would wear for my birthday. I ended up not buying the crop top and picking up these two babies.
I saw a grey one too but I was on my way to college and didn't want to carry too much. I will go back for the grey tee!
My style is changing and I'm loving the basic look so these are basically contributing to my new style.

The boyfriend tee was £3 which is ridiculously cheap and this is why you have to love Primark. I definitely wasn't putting this down once I picked it up. I know it's just a black tee and it's nothing to get excited about but I'm already planning outfits in my head. It's such a versatile piece and can be worn with everything.

Second piece is the vest top. It's not really a vest top, it has really deep armholes so you've got to wear a bralet, bandeau or a crop top underneath.
It was only £4, again, a bargain. I love the racer back, very flattering, also because part of your back and ribs shows along with the deep armholes.
I really like this top, it will definitely look amazing with my high waisted jeans, tucked in and with my birkenstocks.

So that's my little basics haul, have you picked up any basics from Primark lately?
Let me know, I'm definitely taking another trip soon!

Thanks for reading,

Style Inspiration #1 | Gracie Francesca (TheUglyFaceofBeauty)

Hey everyone,

I thought I'd start a style inspiration series, I've been really inspired lately and I think that my style's changing.
I don't think my style is changing drastically but I think I'm starting dress a little older and simpler.

It hasn't even been celeb style that has been inspiring me, it has been my fellow bloggers and amazing youtubers out there. Also, being a London gal means you come across the most unique and admirable street style.

So that being said, let me introduce you to style inspiration numero uno, youtuber and blogger, Gracie AKA UglyFaceofBeauty.
I'm sure you all know her, she's so beautiful inside and out, I've been a subscriber for years now and a follower of her blog since she started it. I love her style, her mindset, her struggles and the way she overcomes them, her confidence, her hair, makeup, basically I love everything about her.

I always loved how her style was, and is, so versatile. I'm a girl that loves to throw on a pair of trainers with an amazing bomber jacket and then be able to put on a pair of heels with a good blazer. I love the versatility of my style and I think, actually I don't think, I know I learnt that from Gracie.

As you guys know, I'm a huge trainer fan so the casual look is my thing. Gracie pulls off the casual look so well, it's just so effortless!

In terms of dressing up, I love how she can make jeans and a crop top look so classy. The white blazer look is definitely one of my faves, she looks amazing! My birthday's coming up soon (14 days to be exact!) and these gorgeous outfits are definitely inspiring me.

Haha I probably sound like a freak with how obsessed I am with Gracie but she's truly amazing.
Definitely check out her Youtube channel and her blog, I'm sure you'll be inspired by something!

What or who are your style inspirations? I'd love to know!

Thanks for reading and don't forget to check Gracie out!

OOTD | All White ft. The Birkenstock Dupes #2

Shirt (Have no idea, sorry!) | Linen Trousers Primark | Sandals Primark
Bracelets Camden Market | Casio Watch The Watch Hut* | Lips Miss Sporty Lipstick - Bubblegum
Cheeks MUA Blusher - Candyfloss | Bronzer MUA Mosaic Bronzer | Earrings Primark

Hey everyone,

I've got an OOTD for you today, I'm absolutely loving getting dressed during the Summer. I personally thought that I would like it and that A/W would be my favourite time to throw on some outfits.
A/W is great for layering which I love but S/S has the colour, the prints and if you dress right, it can look very polished in terms of balancing out how much skin you show and where! Hmm!

Haha anyway, with this outfit, I took a brave step and wore all white. I never wear all white, I'm way to clumsy to wear white, especially, white trousers.

I've really wanted to wear my linen trousers but I've always been put off because they're white and long.
When I wore them the first time, the hems of the trousers were black. I bought them in a size 8 hoping that they were not gonna be that long. Well, a year later I'm wearing them again and they're still quite long but not as ridiculously long but hey ho, my 5ft3  is not growing any time soon. Primark need to do these in a 'Petite' for the shorties!

Nevertheless, I loved this outfit, it was really simple, everyone needs a white shirt! White shirts are so easy to throw on with anything.

And yes, I have my 'Birkenstocks' again, I don't know what to call them, they're the dupes but I call them Birkentstocks because I feel like that's what the type of sandal should be called? Let me know what you guys think!

Well, I have them on again, I love them, they're so comfortable! I'm doing a mini series on how I style them, check out my first outfit with them on, here!

What do you guys think? Do you like the whole white look?
Let me know

June Lust List 2014

Shorts/Blazer Missguided | Lucy Box Clutch Bag Boohoo

Hi guys!

I'm sure you can all tell how excited I am about July!
It's finally here, my birthday month, I've been waiting ages for July to come around and it's finally, finally here.
So obviously, it being my birthday month, there has been a million and one things I've had my eye on.
Let's just say June was a month of lusting and lusting some more.

After spending so much money on my collection, I was just glad that I could start saving up for things I really wanted (not that I don't love my collection but you know!) and that includes saving up for my expensive birthday week of pampering, eating and partying!

As I'm typing up this post, I have to keep readjusting the image because there's so many things I've been lusting over, as I type, I go 'oh yeah, I loved that co-ord I saw on Missguided' and 'oh, can't forget the concealer I wanted'.
It's crazy, before I start uni, I'm going to be absolutely broke.

Alright, enough rambling and on with the post!

First of all, has anyone had that period of time when they obsessed over ELF Cosmetics?
My time is now, I've never really look too hard at what they have but oh boy, this month, I've just left the tab open so I can keep adding to my basket. Absolutely, disgraceful haha
The two main items I wanted to talk about in this post is the Maximum Coverage Concealer and the Brush Holder. These two things caught my eye first.
I've been looking for a new concealer that was a liquid consistency for ages and I think I've found one, I can't wait to get my hands on it.
The second thing is the brush holder. I love the all black, sleek-looking - ness of it. In my bedroom, there's not much of a colour scheme but the things on my dressing table are white.
I can't wait to move house so I can have my own monochrome bedroom!

Next is another make up item. The Revlon ColorStay foundation.
I'm currently using this foundation but I have to mix it because it's slightly darker than my skin tone but I love it as a foundation so I really want to get the right shade.

And now for some fashion bits and bobs.
I've been obsessing over co-ordinates lately. I've started making a scuba one for myself and then hopefully it will be up on the store soon.
I love the colour yellow so when I was scrolling away on Misguided, this bright co-ord caught my eye and jumped straight into my heart. I will have it.
Next is the white Mom Jeans from Topshop. I've seen quite a few people style the demin ones but I really want the white pair. 'I want more white clothes' says the clumsiest girl in the world.

And for some accessories. No lust list is complete without a pair of shoes. I love these metallic pointed heels from ASOS. My pointed heels collection is slowly growing, I love the way they make my feet and legs look.
I need these ones to add to the collection.
I can't forget the amazing box clutch from Boohoo, I really need some new clutches, I'm a big bag girl but sometimes you need a small, classy bag/clutch.
For my birthday night out, I want a black box clutch, I can't choose between this one and a perspex one. Decisions, decisions.

Lastly, a bit of a random lusting item but a Tablet Case, I'm going to be treating myself to a Samsung Galaxy tablet for my birthday so I've been obsessing over cases lately. I really want one with a keyboard.

So that's June's lust list for you guys, I'm probably going to do another one, mid July cause there's so much more I want to have but may not get haha

Hope you guys enjoyed reading this post!

My First Collection | The Fashion Show

Hey guys,

If you didn't see me on twitter, stressing and then getting excited and then getting stressed again over my fashion show, well it was last Thursday!

I'm telling you guys, fashion show's look so glamorous and amazing but the work that has gone into it is crazy.
That morning I was exhausted, stressed, sad and a bit excited. Now that's a whirlwind of emotions.

The day before, I was added finishing touches, e.g hook and eyes and just making sure everything was together to find out two of models couldn't turn up.
It threw me over the edge when I was told to buy another pair of leggings and two pairs of shoes.
I don't handle stress well at all.

Anyway, the morning of, I was just hoping and praying that everything goes well.

I was greeted by one of my favourite teachers (NOT!) and made very angry, which put me in a bad mood for hours.
I met with my assistant (1st year student) and I explained everything to her, told her which pieces go together, what snapbacks I wanted them to wear, how I wanted their make up to look.
I felt like I was living a dream, this collection is the first of many.

The song I chose was Young Money - Senile mainly because it was a song I'd been loving whilst trying to style my collection and I think it went quite well with my collection. I love the bass, the beat, the words, so why not.

I'm glad most things went to plan, except for the last girl who didn't get the jacket closed up before she came on. But other than that, I was pretty pleased.
However at the time, I was so upset that it didn't go exactly to plan but it's taught me, no matter how much you plan something, it will never be perfect and that's life.

I'm truly blessed to be able to get that feeling of seeing my garments on the catwalk, with everyone clapping and cheering for  me. Being only 17 and feeling what I felt that day just makes me look forward to the future.

Thanks to everyone who supported me and helped out, I really, really appreciate it.
Down below is a video clip of my collection that I filmed, it's not great but you get a feel of it.
I haven't been to college since so I haven't been able to look at the photos and videos that the photographers took.

Thanks for reading and watching!
