What's New In Jess'. . . Room

Eyelet Pliers Maplin | Doubled Sided Mirror Wilko | Non Slip Hangers & Velvet Clips Primark
Hoop Earrings (5 pairs) Primark | Rings (set of 12) Primark |

Hey guys,

Yep, another haul!
I don't know why I'm shopping so much, I think I'm stressed and shopping is making me mega happy.

I've bought quite a few bits throughout the past week or so, I'd say many unnecessary essentials (if that makes sense), I made myself believe I need them.
Well, onto the haul!

First up was a genuine essential. It's eyelet pliers. I needed them for a college project and I wanted to put in eyelets. They came out amazing and my teachers loved them and were even happier that I actually went through the effort of pressing in each eyelet. Thanks Maplin.

Next is something I didn't need but I knew I really wanted. A double sided, sleek looking mirror. The mirror I had in my room was irritatingly small so on my trip to Wilko, I picked up this one, it was only £4.50 and it looks great on my dressing table.

Umm, yeah, I needed these hangers. I've resulted to hang my new clothes over the rail when I get home because of the lack of hangers and the increase in clothes. The clips were just something I thought would be smart to get with it. The hangers were £4 and the clips were £2!

Hooped earrings are a new thing. I really wanted to try them out to see if I'd learn to like them, I wore a pair and I quite liked them, there's 5 pairs and they're all different sizes. They were only £1 so I thought why not, can't go wrong really.

These rings were on sale for £1 in Primark, I couldn't just walk away and leave them there. 12 rings for £1!

The mission right now is to get my hair to a really healthy state. It's in great condition right now and I'm managing to keep the length but I just want my hair to be more healthy and longer.
These are the products I needed for my hair regime, some were to replace empty bottles and others were products I'd been recommend to get for my hair.
I'm going to be doing a 'how I look after texturised hair' post very soon so keep your eyes peeled for a lengthy review on all my products and my regime!

And lastly, this beauty. This gorgeous aviator jacket was on sale. For £10. In Primark. I tweeted a picture during my shopping trip with my mum because I was that excited. I saw the one jacket hanging up in the reflection of mirror, I ran over, picked it up and told my mum 'I'm getting it'. She just rolled her eyes because I hardly took a second look at the jacket and it was in the basket haha! It's beautiful, don't ya think?

Thanks for reading guys, have any of you taken a trip to Primark lately or picked up some new hair products? I'd love to know what you've all chucked in the shopping basket lately!

OOTD | Can't Be Bothered

T-Shirt H&M | Hoodie Punky Fish | Leather Jacket River Island (old) | Joggers Adidas
Trainers Nike Satires | Bag Primark | Necklaces Primark

Hello!

Just like the title says, I cannot be bothered!

As a fashion and beauty blogger, there's this expectation to be dressed to a certain standard or have your hair and make up perfect. I'm the complete opposite, you guys all catch me on a good day haha

I went to college in this outfit and I felt so good, I felt free. My hair has been out for over a week and I'm loving it, I'm learning how to look after my hair better and it's definitely getting healthier (post soon!)

I made it my mission to get some new tracksuits, hoodies and joggers to wear out, just so on those lazy days, I could just throw them on.
As college is coming to a point where I just can't be asked to look good all the time, I know it would be a great relief to have things I can throw on. Goodbye jeans!

With this outfit (can I call it an outfit?) I just chucked on my new joggers, found a stretch top, threw on my hoodie and picked between the leather jacket and the quilted Primark jacket. I wore 2 necklaces to give the 'look' some thought.

No outfit of mine would be complete without a pair of trainers so I threw on a pair that looked best and left my house and surprise, surprise, I wasn't rushing to the bus stop. I wonder why!

What are your 'can't be bothered' outfits like? I'd love to know, share the laziness!

Hope you're all well,

Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara Review

Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara buy here

Hey guys,

Feels like it's been a while, I think it's because I've been doing so much and haven't had time to actually sit down and chill.
Sitting with my laptop, watching TV, eating my pasta is probably the most relaxing thing I've done in 2 weeks, I'm so relaxed that I have one slippers on and the other off, my hair all over the place and sitting in a very awkward position but I'm ever so relaxed.

Before this turns into a life update, I'm going to get on with the post. I have a beauty review for you all today, as you can see, it's a mascara review.
I got the Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara in a Rimmel London goodie bag at Clothes Show Live last December.
I'm never on the hunt for a mascara unless I've run out so I was quite excited to test out a new mascara.
I've only started using it recently, my sister's in love with it but I wouldn't say it's one of my holy grail products.

Whenever I've finished applying it all I can think is Twiggy. The mascara is supposed to be a time travel back to the 60's and I must say I'm not really a huge fan.
I hate clumpy eyelashes, Rimmel claim that this mascara doesn't clump the eyelashes together but that's a lie (unless I'm not applying it properly?) No matter how hard I try to make sure they don't clump, the brush just forces the clumpiness, if that's a word.

I'd say the advantages of this mascara is that it really lengthens the lashes and gives them great volume. That is the only great thing about this mascara.

Depending on what you look for in a mascara, I wouldn't want anyone to recommend this mascara to me.
Clumpy, spider eyelashes don't appeal to me at all, I'll probably be giving this mascara to my sister to enjoy.
I'm glad I didn't pay for it!

Sorry Rimmel, this ain't a winner!
Have you guys tested out this mascara? Yes? No? Did you like?
Let me know and thanks for reading!

What's New In Jess' . . . Closet | feat. LOVE

Hey my lovelies!

Part 3 of my haul!
As you guys can see, the amazing girls at LOVE have seen my address pop up once again on their system.
LOVE is probably my favourite brand at the moment, they have such lovely pieces on their websites.

Not being able to resist, I saw 2 pieces I needed in my Spring wardrobe and couldn't close the tab until I'd purchased both items.

So first is a playsuit. My wardrobe isn't bursting with colours so I thought why not get a bright yellow one instead of a black one. I love the diamond cut out on the back, I don't have many pieces in my wardrobe that are backless or cut out but this playsuit is definitely a start. I love the culottes style too, looks so summery and free. It's currently on sale for £10 so snap it up before it goes!

LOVE Baroque Print Cut Out Arm Kimono*

Going to give you guys a moment to admire this amazing print . . .

. . . alright, stop looking! haha!
When I tell you this kimono was only £10, you'll probably not read the rest of this post and go and purchase it. I'm not a fan of prints but I couldn't pass up this beautiful kimono, I love the colour contrast, the scale of the print, everything! It has a cut out in the arm which also drew me in because it was so unusual. It's very flattering and I can't wait to wear it out.

Thanks again LOVE, I'd really recommend everyone to check out their sale, they always have amazing things in the sale, pieces you wouldn't think would be in the sale, discounted to tempting prices!

Definitely have a look through, you never know and thanks for reading!

February Lust List '14

Hello everyone!

It's a few (or more) days of March and throughout February I've had my eye on a million and one things.
So you guys know I produce a little lust list at the beginning of every month and this month's is probably one where I want all the items like right now.

First up is the textured sleeveless boyfriend jacket. This would be such an amazing piece to have in the Spring wardrobe, layering it up with jumpers and leggings with a pair of boots or trainers. Definitely need! The colour is amazing too, so Spring-y! However, as I type, I've just been told it's out of stock so I'm going to go for the gingham one, I think!

Next is the bomber jacket from Topshop, I don't really shop in Topshop but there's always things I admire online but never really aim to buy them but bomber jackets are my weakness. I have a navy, quilted bomber and I love it and can't wait to start wearing it again. This is another piece for me to have in the wardrobe.

Now this is a bit of random want but the Copic Ciao Markers. As an aspiring fashion designer, I'm always on the look out for new things to enhance my drawing or sewing skills. I did a little research and these markers kept popping up so I looked at them more closely. They were so expensive so I turned to eBay and voila, much cheaper. They had a black/grey set, multi-coloured set and the skin tone. I want the skin tone first and then I'll build my collection. (Ooo, more collections!)

Every girl needs a new pair of shoes monthly (on the basis that you're not really going out during the month) and this month my eyes have been on the slip-on skaters I've seen floating about.
I saw these babies on the Topshop website and fell in love, they're fur, black and white and amazing. I need them now, someone buy them for me please!

Lastly is something I probably lust over every month, a make up brush. I'm a self-confessed eBay addict and you guys know I love my eBay make up brushes, they're amazing quality, same level as the Real Techniques brushes just for a tenth of the price. This large tapered brush has caught my eye and it would be great to have in my collection, not that I need it or know what to use it for.

So that's my February lust list for you guys, what have you been lusting over recently?

Thanks for reading,

What's New In Jess' . . . Make Up Drawers | MUA & Skincare

Hello my lovelies,

As promised, part 2 of my haul, what new bits and bobs are in my make up drawers?
Have a read, don't be tempted to shop!

Me and my friend took a spontaneous trip to the local shopping mall and we stopped off at Superdrug and had a rather long look around.
I was trying to decide on a foundation but I wasn't sure what to go for so I came to a conlusion that I'd come another day when I have more time and have a thorough look around. The Revlon ColorStay is a strong contender right now!

But these are the bits I left with!

MUA Pro - Base Complexion Kit - Mocha

First up is a concealer palette. I love MUA's concealing kits, I swear by the one I bought a while back and it's part of my daily make up routine. As it's starting to come to an end, it was only right to buy another one, ready for use.
I bought the larger size which comes with a sponge and little brush which I'll be making good use of. This kit was £6 which is a bargain because it lasts forever!

Superdrug Deep Action 2 in 1 Detoxifying Cream Wash & Mask

Next is a skincare product. Superdrug have their own brand of skincare products and I'm glad I went in with an open mind and bought the scrub. As I was on the hunt for a moisturiser, I came across this beauty which is a cream wash that can also be doubled up as mask. It was £2.59 which is how I much I paid for the scrub, totally worth it. Superdrug are also doing 2 for £4 on their skincare line at the moment.
I've tried it once already and I quite like the way it feels on my skin so keep a look out for a full review in the near future.

MUA Colour Blast Eyeshadow Tint - Unfaithful

Who doesn't love free stuff? Superdrug are doing an offer where if you spend £6 or more on MUA, you get a free eye shadow tint. It's usually £3 so I couldn't snap it up quick enough. I've seen quite a few reviews on this baby but I've always been to lazy to actually go and buy it so I used this opportunity to get one. I chose a brown shade which I'll get good use out of, I hope.

MUA Nail Polish - Pistachio Ice Cream

You all know those unnecessary purchases, this nail polish was one of them.
I love MUA nail polishes but I just didn't need another one, I currently have Shellac on my nails so I can't paint my nails and I will be getting gel done soon so I guess this beautiful nail polish will have to sit and be patient. It's only £1, you can't go wrong to be honest and it's a lovely shade too.

Save the boring item until last, cotton pads. My mum constantly complains about me using the household cotton wool to take off my make up so I just thought it'd be nice to have my own cotton pads and be able to use them without any complaints, it was 99p so why not.

Hope you guys liked the bits I bought, are there any things you've bought from Superdrug recently?
I'd love to know, thanks for reading and I hope you're all well, March tomorrow!
