FOTD | Natural Glow | First Impressions

Hey guys,

Yep, you're seeing my face again!

I recently put up a daily face post and I got lovely tweets, emails and comments so I thought why not put up a FOTD every now and then.

Today's look was a glowing face.
You guys probably didn't notice but I definitely noticed, I've changed my foundation and it matches my skin, perfectly. Perfectly!
It's the Revlon ColorStay Foundation in Caramel and I love it.

I also used this chance to try out my new blusher by MUA, it's much more pigmented than the one I use usually. I think I'll use it more for going out instead of on a daily basis.

I love a simple lip and my orange lipstick by Miss Sporty does the trick topped up with my MUA nude lip gloss.

I'm also trying out new eyelashes by Ardell in 107 and they're very light, I wouldn't say natural looking because they're quite long but I like the shape and they're not too in your face!

Definitely check out my  daily face post to see what I use for my base, it's the same except that I've changed my foundation and blusher.

120 Colours Eye Shadow Palette | Review

Hey lovelies,

If you saw my mini haul, you'd see that I jumped right in and bought a 120 colour eye shadow palette and I'm so happy I did because I'm in loooooveee.

It's got an amazing range of colours and has 2 palettes in 1 which is very easy to close up and pack away.
I originally bought this palette because I wanted to experiment with different colours and have more fun with my eye shadow.
Quite a few people have said 'why did you buy a palette with so many colours?' and 'are you even going to use all of them?' and my answer is always 'because I wanted to!' and 'yes, I will actually!'
The whole purpose of me buying it was to use it and experiment. I know I'm not a 'make up artist' and I don't need it but I wanted it and will use it. I do the occasional make up for friends and family so it's great to have.
Mini rant done.
*back to the review*
All the shades are oh so pigmented, I always touch lightly with my brush because the colours are so vibrant.
My brush picks up the eye shadow very well, it isn't chalky or dry and it blends very well.

I was a bit disappointed to find that 2 of the shades had crumbled during delivery due to the fact that they hadn't written fragile on the package so it must've been thrown and chucked about on it's way to me, boo! That's the only downside however I didn't empty out the pan as I want to use the shades and I always store the palette the right way up so there's no mess.

I'm actually quite surprised that there's actually 120 shades in 1 palette, it's even crazier to think that there's palettes out there with 225 shades in them!
Overall, I'm very happy with my palette, it was very inexpensive as I was expecting it to be so much more so I definitely think that if you want to experiment with more colours this would be a great palette for you to have in your make up collection and it would also be a great Christmas present!

Have you palette lovers purchased your 120 palettes or are you planning to? What were your thoughts on it?
Let me know and thanks for reading!

EOTD: Neutral & Dark

MUA Undressed Palette - Shade 1, 3, 10, 11,
MUA Glamour Nights Palette - Shade 6

Hey everyone,

Today I thought I'd do an eye of the day post because I always get questions and compliments on my eye shadow looks so I thought why not do EOTD posts every now and then on here!

For this look, I wanted to go a little bit dark but staying neutral, it's not 'smoky eye' dark but darker than what I'd usually do.
It may seem like a lot of eye shadows to use for one look but I like to blend lots of shades to get one shade. I use shade 1 for my tear duct and waterline as I have hooded eyelids and it opens up my eyes.
I use shade 10 and 11 for my crease even though you can't see my crease when my eyes are open when they're closed, BAM! haha

I wore this look with my MUA Cream Blusher in Dolly and a light pink lip.

Let me know if you like the look and what other looks you'd like to see!

MUA Blusher Candyfloss Review

Hi guys,

I think September is my review month because I was so lazy during August and couldn't be asked to review anything now I've got a load of drafts saying review for this and review for that and I just want to get them out before I forget about them and it's no longer relevant to anybody.

After not being able to find the leather jacket I wanted at the end of summer, I decided to spend the money on some beauty products, this blusher was one of them.

I'd been meaning to get a new blusher, just to change the colour of  my cheeks. It's either no blusher or my coral coloured cream blusher. I'm not a huge fan of blusher but when you're obsessed with buying make up, you force yourself to love it haha

This blusher is a barbie pink with a purple undertone, the front of the packaging is clear plastic with MUA slapped on the front. Also, the logo is imprinted in the blusher which is kinda cool.

I really like this blusher, I'm going to be using it a lot, paired with a neutral eye and my dark purple lipstick. I love the shimmer in the blusher, definitely makes the cheeks glow.

I do prefer cream blushers but having oily skin means my face is less oily with a powder blusher. However, whenever I wear a cream blusher, more powder is applied to keep my cheeks from being too oily.

Another reason why I prefer cream blushers is that powders can be quite messy and chalky-looking.
This blusher isn't chalky at all which I'm very happy about because I hate chalky blushers as they're pretty much useless and you look like a geisha if you try using it!

Overall, I'm very happy with it and I'd recommend it, it's only £1, even if you get it and you don't like it, £1 isn't going to hurt your soul haha

Let me know if you've tried it and what your opinions are on it!
